Ainsley and Bumbo Box

Ainsley had a lot of fun sitting in the box. If only we knew, we could've save the money we spent on Bumbo and just get her a box.
If you look closely, you'll realize something is different about Ainsley. Her hair is no longer crazy. It's defintely a minor miracle. Even though mommy and daddy have been complaining about her crazy hair, now we really miss it.

My Little Heroine

The past a few weeks have been quite a trial for all of us. Ainsley came down with a fever about two weeks ago. After five days of minimal sleep, constant crying and many trips to the pediatrician's office, she's finally diagnosed with a rare condition called Kawasaki Disease. She's admitted to the hospital. Thank God she responded well to treatment and came home after one night. It was a very difficult time for me. To see your child suffer and was powerless to help was more than I can bear. I thought a lot about how God must felt to send his only son to this world, in the form of a helpless baby, to suffer through illnesses and pain only to die on the cross. I cannot imagine the pain that God must felt watching Jesus dying on the cross. How do we deserve such love? It has made me realize that I cannot protect Ainsley from all the realities of the this world. I thank God every day that He's in control and He's Ainsley's heavenly father. We took these pictures while we were in the hospital to remind us how fortunate we are. Every day and every smile is priceless.

Family

My mom has been watching Ainslely while I'm at work. It warms my heart every time to see the two of them having so much fun together.
Auntie Donna traveled all the way from LA to visit Ainsley. Hopefully one of these days, we can all go to LA and Ainsley can meet all her cousins.

Auntie Donna decided to experiment with Ainsley's crazy hair.

The First Hair Cut

Ainsley's hair has been growing at an astonishing speed. Mommy finally decided to do something about it. This is the before picture.
And after! Notice the difference? Mommy tried her best. It's a little bit uneven. Good thing Ainsley can't complain yet.
And I approve the new look!

Ainsley In Action

Ainsley loves to kick her legs. Sometimes she'll strike a pose with her legs in the air and hold them there for a long time. Daddy has tried to compete with Ainsley to see who can hold their legs in the air the longest. Daddy is no competition to Ainsley.
Ainsley has discovered the fun of exersaucer.
These days Ainsley's fingers especially her thumbs are constantly in her mouth.
